SUMMER STUDENT POSITION Job Title: Project Coordinator Wage: $8.75/hour, 30 hours per week for 8 weeks START DATE: June 30, 2008 Job Description: Avocation Employment Alliance of Durham is seeking a Summer Student for 8 weeks, starting June 30, 2008. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for organizing a full day conference and clothing distribution event to provide low-income job seekers with professional image consultation and free access to business attire. Duties: * Research and book a venue * Coordinate sponsorship team * Coordinate catering * Liaise with speakers and vendors * Coordinate donations * Provide administrative support to volunteer project team * Manage registration Qualifications The successful candidate will be an outgoing self-starter with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. A particular field of study is not required, however, this position is likely to be a better fit for students in business, social sciences or social work. Candidate must have exceptional computer skills, and be comfortable working on a PC and on a Mac system.
