Avocation is an incorporated nonprofit organization that works with job seekers and employers to provide excellent employment, vocational rehabilitation, return to work, professional development and skills upgrading services.

Avocation is a proud member of the Whitby Chamber of Commerce and the Ajax-Pickering Board of Trade, and works closely with Durham organizations, providing top-tier professional development as well as HR support to help them recruit and retain exceptional, dedicated and qualified staff. A member of the International Customer Service Organization (Toronto Chapter) (ICSA-TO), Avocation is Durham's only certified corporate ICSA trainer.
